Club Turtle Rock

Woohoo Spring Break '08! It's not Club La Villa, but Club Turtle Rock is pretty hopping. Oh how different Spring Break is all grown up and with kids. Nat had some Mommy's over for a little spring break playgroup and other than the zoo, hands down it was the definite "party" in my Spring Break. It's not as sad as it sounds though. There was lots of fun, lots of noise, spiked punch (for Mommas not the kids), party tricks (motorized razor scooter riding), older boys and younger chicks (Ellie and Patric), and fast rides.

The boys hanging out. They were chanting "boys rule, girls drool" of course.

Pretty Princess room. Livi and Carmella give Ellie a makeover.
Cupcake eating contest.
More cupcakes.
Ellie with her older man, Patric.
Deanna on the scooter.
Patric and Ellie in their fast ride.
More fast rides.
Thanks ladies for the fun filled afternoon!

Our Baby is 5!

Yes, today my baby turned 5 and I'm having a hard time with this one. We talked yesterday and I told him it was the last day he was going to be 4 years old. He hugged me and said "it's ok Momma, don't be sad. I have to get bigger but I will still cuddle you in your bed at night."

Today we celebrated with a day at the zoo, the Varsity for lunch, presents and cake, and then Moe's for dinner (as requested). Dusty took the day off work and we took our first family trip to Zoo Atlanta. I was a little worried about going on Spring Break but we got there early and got ahead of the crowds and the weather was perfect. Here are a few pictures from our big day...

I caught Chase telling another kid on the zoo playground that he was "5". He was pretty smug about it too!

With Daddy at the giraffes. Ellie was very serious all day. I think pretty overwhelmed at all the animals.
Baby Panda Mei Lan. She's two weeks older than Ellie.
Holding hands.
Riding the duck with Ellie.Again on the duck. Not sure if you can see the two hotwheels in his hand. He carried them the entire time we were at the zoo.

Leaving the zoo.
Chase blowing out a candle and making a wish.
Ellie licking her fingers.
Chase and his power rangers megazord.
Riding his new Hotwheel scooter. Already an expert.
So 4 is over and we are on to bigger things like the big kids department. No more "toddler" in his clothing size. Kindergarten. Lots and lots of questions (more every day). I can't keep him small forever. I am just trying to suck it all in. Every precious day we spend together.

Happy Birthday Sweetheart! We love you more than you will ever know.
